Mukika is a physical board game built on real business and marketing strategies. Players start with choosing a market, move on to creating an offer, and finish with a go-to-market plan: choosing channels and distributing what they have made. The player who keeps the most profit wins.
It was created for a training workshop for marketing people. The gap behind it is a familiar one: many people feel they know marketing because they have heard a lot about it, but have never had to do it. Doing it needs time, money and a lot of reading. The game compresses that learning into one session, and each player does the business calculations by hand, which also teaches the kind of accounting that helps a business grow. There is an online version that supports workshops and scoring, but the fun is in the physical game.
Why Mukika is the first client
YuktiBOS was built to handle as many of Mukika's real problems as possible before taking on more clients. Mukika is a good test because it is small, has one strong founder voice, sells to several different kinds of buyer (colleges, training and L&D heads, founders) and needs steady content without a marketing team.
What it uses in YuktiBOS
- A written voice. The founder answered voice questions in his own words. From that came a voice and tone document, a list of words to use freely, rarely or never, and a checklist the reviewer asks of every draft. A rule such as "it is a board game, never a card game" is a hard check, not a hope.
- Content services switched on. Social media management and content writing are on for Mukika, with LinkedIn and Instagram posts and articles planned through the calendar.
- Key days that fit the buyers. Placement season, exam weeks, college breaks, MSME Day and Entrepreneurs' Day are marked Peak or Avoid so the plan works around what colleges and founders are doing.
- Markets scored the Mukika way. The market card scores pain, purchasing power, targetability and growth on a 1 to 3 scale. The same method sits behind the free Market finder tool.
- Verified facts. Facts about the game are checked by a person before any writer sees them, and a never-say list guards names and claims that must not appear.
What is still open
Quality is not yet where the founder wants it, and the posting cadence, channels and ads are still being tuned. We will update this story when there is something worth measuring.
